Ardnamurchan AD Sauternes Cask Release 50% Alc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL
This Ardnamurchan Sauternes Cask Release is a limited-edition single malt from the rugged Ardnamurchan Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. It’s noted for its distinctive maturation process that combines traditional Scotch whisky styles with the influence of French dessert wine casks:
-
The spirit is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels.
-
Then it’s finished in ex-Sauternes wine barriques, which once held rich sweet white wine from Bordeaux, France.
Tasting Note
-
Nose: Apricot jam, almond-flaked brioche, marzipan, and dried stone fruits.
-
Palate: Balanced sweetness, seeded bread, green peppercorn, and gentle honey influences.
-
Finish: Dry or medium-dry with balanced fruit and oak character.
