This record (yes, it's a "record") was lots of fun to make! We recorded live in the same room, looking at one another, listening and playing together at the same time for the basic tracks. It was recorded all analog, using classic tube mics, vintage API console, very little outboard gear, onto 2 inch 16 track, tape delay to an EMT 140 plate, mixed to Ampex ATR102 1/2 inch tape at 15ips, ATC monitors. Mastered superbly by Ted Jensen directly o? the 1/2 inch masters. Nothing against digital - we just like working this way, and we think we can hear a di?erence.
