Cantilever Lounge Chair

This is a Tubular Steel Tub Lounge Chair, produced by Thonet in the 1970s. The chair has a cantilevered base, and has an upholstered sling in a dark green velveteen fabric. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in the same green velvety fabric as the sling. The chair offers a generous width and depth of seat, and is quite comfortable.

This chair measures 30.5 inches deep, 28.5 inches wide, and is 28 inches high. It has a seat height of 16 inches. The cushions remain soft and the fabric is broken in. The seams at the edges of the cushions are slightly threadbare. The tubular chromed-steel frame shows patina here and there, though still presents quite well. There is a partial label intact, though it appears to have been torn. Overall, this chair is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
