<p>Algae-X is a non-foaming multipurpose 30% polymer algaecide that treats green and mustard algae. It is effective over a wide pH range. </p><b>Features:</b><ul><li>Effective multi-purpose formula treats all forms of algae</li><li>Non-foaming</li><li>Does not irritate swimmers</li><li>Will not harm liners</li></ul><p><b>Applications:</b></p><b>Initial Dosage:</b><p>For treatment of a freshly cleaned and filled pool, add 18 ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Apply this product directly to the pool water with the circulation system turned on. Allow ample time for product to be distributed before turning off the pump. Dilute this product with at least nine parts water before applying. Pour required amount of this product into a plastic watering can and fill with water. Maintaining constant pool circulation, sprinkle solution around the edge of the pool.</p><b>Maintenance Dosage (weekly):</b><p>To maintain pools free of visible algae growth, add 6 ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water every week after the initial treatment.</p><b>To Treat Existing Yellow or Green Algae:</b><p>For maximum effectiveness, pools with a large amount of algae present must be cleaned prior to using this product. Pools having visible algae growth must be treated with 32 ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water. After 24 hours, the algae debris must be removed by standard cleaning procedures, including brushing loose algae spots, vacuuming the pool and backwashing the filter.</p><b>Tips:</b><p>It is easier to prevent algae growth than to destroy established algae. To be most effective against existing algae, add on a warm, sunny day in the morning. Remove dead settled algae by vacuuming.
