The Rob Roy Kelly American Wood Type Collection: A History & Catalog by David Shields is a collection of wood type manufactured and used for printing in nineteenth-century America. Comprising almost 150 typefaces, it was documented by design educator and historian Rob Roy Kelly beginning in 1957 and currently lives at the University of Texas. Shields writes to document more about the collection as well as Kelly, about whom little was written prior to this work.
